The QUESTemp° Sentinel Stationary Ambient Heat Stress
Monitoring System performs continuous real-time surveillance of your
facilities and provides your designated personnel with the information
they need to promptly and effectively intervene in order to avoid or
minimize negative outcomes.
The system consists of four major elements:
-
One or more QUESTemp° 34 or QUESTemp° 36 Thermal
Environment Monitors strategically located within the indoor or
outdoor area(s) you wish to monitor.
-
NetLink II interface modules to connect each
QUESTemp° monitor to your standard Ethernet network.
-
One instance of QUESTemp° Sentinel Server
Software running on a single PC that runs unattended as a
web/database server to create a central heat stress information
portal.
-
Unlimited instances of QUESTemp° Sentinel Client
Software installed on all client PC's that need to access the
central heat stress portal.

Automated Flag System
QUESTemp° Sentinel automatically compares environmental conditions to
guidelines you select or define. Pre-defined guidelines exist in the
system for ACGIH and US Military protocols. You can also create an
unlimited number of custom guidelines to support multiple scenarios of
work levels (activity) and/or types of clothing. A single guideline can
consist of up to six progressive heat stress phases that trigger at
measured WBGT levels that you specify. Each phase within a guideline is
also assigned a color of your choice. QUESTemp Sentinel compares
real-time environmental conditions to the active guideline and displays
each monitor’s WBGT value along with a color-coded flag to communicate
the current heat stress phase. You may then train your personnel to take
certain actions or limit activities based on color codes observed.
Automated Alert Messaging
You can quickly define an unlimited number of Alert Levels for any
measurement from any designated monitor on your network. With equal ease
and convenience, you are able to create a library of Alert Action
messages and specify which message to associate with a given Alert
Level. Your chosen Alert Action message is automatically sent via email
to personnel you have designated whenever an Alert Level is both enabled
and reached or exceeded. Alert Messages containing your work
instructions or other information can be received by email-capable PC’s,
pagers, cell phones and PDA’s.
