Quest 261 is a Sound Detector-Controller

Sound Detectors - Sound Controller - 261

The Quest 261 is a Sound Detector/Controller that makes sound measurement perfectly hassle free for you. It uses remote microphones to monitor noise within a specified area. When the noise exceeds a defined threshold between 55 and 110dB, it activates an internal DPDT, 10A Fused, 300V rated relay. The relay can activate warning lights or alarms or it can be used to control  equipment.

Typical Applications Include:

  • Hospitals, Neonatal Intensive Care Units
  • School Lunchrooms, Gymnasiums, Classrooms
  • Industrial Work Areas
  • Environmental Work Areas
  • Nightclubs and other Entertainment Establishments

For OSHA Hearing Conservation applications use the Model 261, along with the LB-26 Light Box. These noise detectors prompt users when hearing protection is required.

If you have technical questions about whether the 261 sound detector and sound controller is right for your sound measurement services, our knowledgeable support staff is here to help. For intelligent answers to your specific questions, please email technical support.
